ENVI 5.6.3

ENVI 5.6.3

The ENVI5.6.3 version was officially released in November 2022, and the corresponding IDL version is V8.8.3, which matches the newly released in-depth learning tool ENVI Deep LearningV2.0. It mainly includes the following new functions:

Support for new sensors

New machine learning kit

New mineral and vegetation spectral index

New and updated tools in ENVI toolbox, and tool settings for new save and restore functions

New ENVITasks

Improvement of secondary development

Performance enhancement of JP2 file format

Support new data

ENVI5.6.3 adds the following sensor support

Added support for German DLR Space Agency EnMAP hyperspectral images

New PlanetScope data format support is added. ENVI5.6.3 reads the following PlanetScope products:

L1B level data (atmospheric apparent radiance)

L3B orthophoto data (atmospheric apparent radiance and apparent reflectance)

L3A orthophoto data (radiation correction, sensor correction, geometric correction)

Including products obtained from PS2.SD and PSB.SD next-generation sensors. Use the File>Open or File>Open As>Optical Sensors>Planet>PlanetScope menu option and select*_ metadata.xml、*_ metadata_ Clip.xml or*_ The metadata.json file opens. Image data can be stored in TIFF or NITF (license of NITF support module is required) files.

New machine learning kit

ENVI Machine Learning. ENVI machine learning includes a set of tools and tasks. The functions of ENVI are expanded in the fields of supervised classification, unsupervised classification and anomaly detection. It includes the most advanced algorithms:

Support Vector Machine

Random Forest Classification

Extra Trees Classification

Naive Bayes Classification

Birch Unsupervised Classification

K-Means Unsupervised Classification

Two anomaly detection algorithms

A label making tool is also added to support the use of spectrum library as training data.
