ADAPT-Builder is a comprehensive and integrated solution for the analysis and design of post-tensioned and conventional concrete floor systems and beams. ADAPT-Builder is an umbrella program that allows you a variety of design and analysis options by activating one or more of its computational modules, including analysis by the Finite Element Method (FEM). Using Component Technology, ADAPT-Builder generates a true three-dimensional model of the structure as it appears on the architectural drawings. Using this geometrically true model for its computations, ADAPT-Builder can provide the correct location, amount and length of reinforcement needed for construction.
New capabilities include:
* Automated tendon layout: Builder 2009 lets you automatically lay out banded tendons along support lines and allows you to replicate an existing tendon to automatically create distributed tendons.
* Wood-Armer design option.
* Tendon curvature check: the program includes a tendon curvature check against a minimum radius of curvature that can be specified for each model.
* Reinforcement display enhancements: Builder 2009 allows you to view the reinforcement for each load combination. You can generate the rebar drawing with user-defined angles for the bar-orientation. You can also view the calculated rebar for each support line in elevation.
* Rebar detailing enhancements: for the distributed rebar, you can fix individual parameters such as number of bars, spacing or bar extends and the program automatically recalculates the remaining attributes.
* Instant design review: review deflections, average stress (precompression) and balanced loading for each support line.
* Moment line contours: Builder 2009 lets you view the moment line contours in the modeling environment after analysis.
* Shear design: You can now specify the number of legs for stirrups and review the beam stirrups in elevation.
* Building code: ACI-318 2008 / IBC 2009 was added to the program.
* 64bit: Builder is 64bit compatible.
