BricsCad Structural Frames v2.1.0004

Interactive design With Structural Frames, you can draw new elements directly into a front, side, top or 3D perspective view, drag nodes and bars with the mouse and specify load conditions and supports. Variable sections Structural Frames makes specifying variable sections in steel, reinforced concrete and wood an easy task. Supports Structural Frames offers different types of support for all kinds of elements, including hinged, semi-rigid, rigid, elastic springs and forced displacements. Loads You can specify different load types, such as point loads and moment forces in nodes and on bars, uniform loads and trapezium loads according to global and local axis systems, and temperature loads. Loads can be categorized in different load groups. Braces Braces can be defined as elements that work under traction only. They are automatically eliminated from the load combinations that lead to compression. Envelope diagrams Structural Frames offers automatic generation of envelope diagrams for ultimate and service limit states with detection of critical load combinations. You can also specify specific load combinations manually. Analysis Structural Frames supports linear, p-Delta and non-linear analysis with automatic load and stiffness correction. The results of the analysis are displayed as a diagram, complete with bending moments, deflection, normal forces, shear forces, bending and torsion moments and stresses. Structural Frames also provides second-order analysis for structural imperfections and horizontal displacements. Optimization For elements in reinforced concrete, BricsCad Structural Frames determines the required reinforcement according to American and European standards. For steel elements, it performs the resistance and stability checks according to the AISC Load & Resistance Factor Design and other standards.
