Ansoft Translators for ECAD Geometry is a separate product that installs the
translator executables along with the layout integrations for all supported
third party tools into one location. SIwave, AnsoftLinks and TPA can
all call the necessary executables from this location.

1) SUPPORTED LAYOUT TOOL VERSIONS
AnsoftLinks, SIwave and TPA are compatible with the following versions of
the supported third-party layout products:

For most third-party products, you will need to install the layout integration
for the specific third-party tool. These layout integrations are available
in the Ansoft Translators for ECAD Geometry installation and will add an
ANSYS or Ansoft menu item in the third-party tool\’s UI.

2) INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: ANSOFT TRANSLATORS FOR ECAD GEOMETRY
Be sure the third-party layout software is already installed.
Run the Ansoft Translators for ECAD Geometry install by clicking the
autorun.exe and choosing \”Install Software\” when the installation splash screen
appears.
An ECADTranslators6.0 directory will be created in the destination folder, defined
by the user during the install. This contains the binaries necessary for importing
layouts from Mentor Expedition, Board Station XE, PADS, and Zuken along with ODB++
files from Altium Designer into AnsoftLinks, SIwave or TPA.
Next, in the Select the Layout Integrations window, select the check box next to
the appropriate layout tool(s) you wish to integrate with Ansoft products:
Cadence SPB Tools (for use with Allegro, APD and SiP)
Mentor Board Station
Mentor Board Station XE (choose v2007.3 or v2007.7)
Mentor Expedition
