The Wind Load Analysis program determines wind pressures and forces using ASCE 7-95, ASCE 7-98 and / or ASCE 7-02. The program follows the ASCE code \”to the letter;\” each figure and table is coded into the program so closely that the ASCE publication can be used as an operators manual for the program. 1,2 The program is fast and easy because it is set up like an Excel workbook, each page in the report is a separate worksheet in the workbook. Virtually all input is entered from a single dialog box making the program exceptionally fast and easy to learn.Technical Specifications: Computation of wind loads for main windforce resisting systems and components & cladding. Structure types include Low Rise Building, Buildings of All Heights, Flexible Buildings, Flexible Structures, Open Buildings, and Other Structures. Where applicable, the frontal area is defined and the program will compute forces, shears, and overturning moments. Adjustments for Mean Sea Level, Importance Factor, topography, and Exposure Category are made automatically. External & internal pressure coefficients and gust factors are computed by the program. Reports/output are in spreadsheet format; consequently, values can be copied and pasted into Excel or similar spreadsheet programs. Where applicable, Wind Analysis outputs the wind loads at \”standard\” intervals. You also have the flexibility to create your own custom intervals if you wish. Intelligent dialog boxes make sure that only the appropriate options for a selected category are available eliminating confusion and errors. Computations are listed for each step allowing for easy verification and your \”peace of mind.\” Units are US customary units.
